Llinars del Vallès

Committed

This destination is in the process of certification.

Llinars del Vallès is a municipality located 40 kilometers from Barcelona, at the foot of Montseny and next to the Montnegre Corredor mountain range, with a rich natural environment perfect for walking and multiple routes for hiking or cycling.
Within this natural setting, visitors can discover places of interest such as churches from all eras, the remains of the Castellvell from the 9th-10th centuries, admire the modernist architecture of Can Bordoi, and visit the Torre del Moro or Torrassa, a Roman defense tower.
In the center of the village, you will find Castell Nou, one of the best-preserved Renaissance palaces in the country, dated from 1558. You can also admire the architecture of Álvaro Siza at the Teatre Auditori.
Any time of the year is a great time to visit Llinars and experience its traditions: in September, the Festa Major is celebrated, in autumn the mushroom season begins, in December the Torrons Fair is held, and on Carnival Sunday, the Gitanas dance is performed, a local tradition and emblem of the region.
