A big step for renewable energies in tourism in Gran Canaria: On December 10, 2020, the MUR chain had the honor of inaugurating the first photovoltaic plant in Aldea de San Nicolás taking a very important step for the municipality and betting on the sun as clean energy. the solar farm is composed of 2,304 modules with a unitary peak power of 440 watts (W), connected to several inverters of 36 kilowatts (kW) each, to reach a total power of 900 kW. The annual electrical energy produced is around 1,665,000 kWh, the equivalent of a reduction of 1,300 tons of CO₂ in the atmosphere.
